My Philosophy:
Mental and physical health are deeply interconnected. Drawing from both integrative and functional medicine perspectives, my work focuses on understanding the root causes of distress rather than simply managing symptoms. Imbalances such as chronic inflammation, insulin resistance, hormone dysregulation, gut–brain disruption, or prolonged stress can influence both emotional wellbeing and physical health. Research increasingly shows that factors like inflammation and oxidative stress are linked not only to conditions such as heart disease or diabetes, but also to depression, anxiety, and trauma-related disorders.
Because of this, I take a whole-person approach that integrates evidence-based psychotherapy with mind-body and lifestyle-focused interventions. My training includes clinical mental health counseling, nutrition science and nutritional psychology, integrative health, holistic medicine, neurofeedback, and EMDR. I also incorporate mindfulness-based practices, music-informed therapeutic approaches, and executive coaching frameworks where appropriate. I am a graduate of the Hoffman Process, which has further informed my understanding of relational patterns and personal transformation.
My philosophy is both professionally grounded and personally informed — rooted in a deep commitment to helping individuals and families move toward lasting, holistic healing.
Before transitioning into the clinical field, I spent over fifteen years in corporate finance as an executive and portfolio manager. I hold a degree in Business Administration from UC Berkeley’s Haas School of Business and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) designation, experiences that continue to inform my work with high-performing individuals, professionals, and families navigating complex life transitions.

About Me:
Originally from North Dakota and shaped by the values of my large German family, I bring both curiosity and tenacity to my work—qualities that inspire me to push boundaries and challenge the status quo. I am passionate about life and deeply value connection, especially the time I spend with my children and family.
My love of adventure has taken me around the world, including extended stays in South America, Asia, Europe and Africa, enriching my perspective and deepening my appreciation for diverse cultures. Outside of my professional life, I immerse myself in the outdoors and actively ski, hike, horseback ride (e.g. Western), and mountain bike. I am also an aesthete, and deeply appreciate classical music, language (e.g. German), theater, literature—particularly non-fiction—and the arts. These experiences not only fuel my creativity and insight, but also help me connect more deeply with others.
